Paul White and I were in the office late on Monday with our iPads and a Sony video camera. Actually I was still suffering from cycling in to the office, so part of this was the procrastination exercise before cycling home again. We made this short video to compare the iPad and iPad 2 by running several applications including:
Infinity Blade
Garageband
Angry Birds
Google Maps, heading to Interoute‘s HQ
We also startup and shut the devices down. We did the shutdown after a startup so only the standard services were running on each device.
We didn’t do any web site testing, because when we tried slashdot.org the iPad was considerably faster than the iPad 2 which suggests there was something wrong with our setup. Time was short so we left it out.
The times are approximate. Paul has a ton of applications on his iPad 2, but this should not make a difference to the testing.
