- Chartered Scientist (CSci), Chartered Mathematician (CMath) and IT professional (CITP)
- Fellow of BCS (FBCS) and IMA (FIMA)  
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate
- Previously studied Russian, Dutch and French 
- Worked at Interoute in IT and Systems between 2001 and 2015. Interoute built the largest pan-European fibre network, also providing IT and hosting services
- Between 2015 and 2021, worked as an IT Consultant at Wipro, Director of Software Engineering at THG Hosting and as an independent IT consultant
- Since 2021, at the Tezos Foundation

## Current Work
- Runs Information Technology at the [Tezos Foundation](https://tezos.foundation). Includes system infrastructure, corporate IT and security auditing.
- Also the Chief Baker. Runs the Tezos Foundation baking (validating) infrastructure, boot nodes and snapshot service (snapshots.tzinit.org)
- Maintains and publishes Octez (Tezos node, baker, DAL node, smart rollup) packages for Debian, Ubuntu and Rocky Linux, distributed via Tzinit (packages.tzinit.org)
- Runs the test networks for Tezos (teztnets.com) including Shadownet, Bakingnet, Weeklynet and the protocol networks
- Security Audits and response

## Writing and Podcasts

- Published [Learning Russian Verbs](https://learningrussianverbs.com) (available on Leanpub, Amazon and Apple Books) in 2025, a modern Russian verb treatment
- Currently writing a book on Tezos infrastructure (Running Tezos Infrastructure), hopefully finished in 2026

- Publishes cloud/hardware deployment guides for Tezos infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, Raspberry Pi)
