There is no 28. I had the day off from doing the write-up and in the end, two days off dieting. On Saturday, I started the day early with a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes. We had breakfast later in the day (eggs royale) and got in the car to investigate Thaxted, having a quick pint when we got there. On the 4th July, pubs were allowed to open again, but we were not going to stay around waiting for a crowded environment. We had a quiet pint before moving on. It was a quick quiet pint.

Due to some laziness and extreme tardiness on my part, I decided to take Sunday off from dieting as well. After a bowl of cornflakes, I completely crashed and felt fatigued. There are some possible causes. 1. I'm actually tired. 2. I have a mild lactose intolerance and the milk triggered it. 3. I have a mild gluten intolerance. I've never bothered to get 2 and 3 checked and I should. All I would say is that I feel better when I don't drink milk and I don't eat the heavy carbs.

We had a couple of drinks but I wouldn't consider it a session. To be specific we had two pints out and about on Saturday, and three 330ml tins when we got in. On Sunday I had a couple of 330ml tins as well. No drunkenness, just a few relaxing drinks. We finished the weekend with a curry.

Getting on the scales this morning and we can see some real damage. 3 kilos back on and back to the weight I started with... I feel bloated and full of sludge. I also have a tickly throat... . There's a moral to this story if you can find it. I suppose the positive spin on it is we had the weekend off. The damage will drop off soon enough, provided I get back on the wagon. Anyway here are the gory details:

My Fitbit scales give two different answers consecutively - I really don't like digital scales. Anyway, I should really do a Norman Tebbit. And get on my bike!
