Double Baking and Remote Signers

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to describe what Double Baking and Double Endorsing means within the Tezos ecosystem, but also to document the testing of a new version of the Remote Signer used by the Tezos Foundation. The Remote Signer was originally developed by Blockscale for use by the Tezos Foundation in the Baking infrastructure. The Remote Signer prevents signing of two blocks at the same level by using a locking mechanism. The Remote Signer has been upgraded to support the Tenderbake signing messages and has been tested on the Ithacanet test network recently.
