Random conversation at Fenway park

Between the 6th and 7th inning, two US servicemen are honoured. They are standing on top of the dugouts and everyone is cheering and clapping them. I’m talking with the gent to my left.

Chris: In the UK we don’t honour our servicemen like this.

Gent: I was in Vietnam for 4 years in the 60s. When we got home from that, no-one wanted to talk to us. It was a different time and a different America.
